„When diet is wrong, medicine is of no use. When diet is right, medicine is of no need.“
– Ayurvedic proverb

I always felt that this is such a powerful statement which I can support 100%. And you know it, too. You can certainly feel the difference after eating a burger with fries or, for example, rice with vegetables and salad.

Nutrition is such a basic and yet powerful tool, which is so easy to adjust and yet it is neglected by so many. In my early 20’s, I started diving into nutrition and there are two philosophies which strongly influenced me: Alkaline fasting and Ayurveda. Both have in common, that they focus on fresh fruit and vegetables as the main part of the diet. 

A major part of our immune system is located in the gut. With every meal we make a choice to feed the good or the bad bacteria. By digestion the body transforms the food we eat into our cells. You become what you eat – literally! 

Many diseases can be avoided and cured by making simple healthy adjustments. I´m not going to tell you to never eat this or that, but finding a healthy balance is important. What feels good for one might not feel right for someone else and vice versa. Individual constitution is key to a healthy digestion and assimilation of nutrients.
